El objetivo primordial de la Asociación Encuentro de la Cultura Cubana, fundada en Madrid en 1995, es contribuir al desarrollo de una cultura de la democracia, para que Cuba pueda transitar pacíficamente hacia una sociedad abierta, plural y respetuosa de los Derechos Humanos. To promote a dialogue among writers, artists and academics in Cuba and in the diaspora on political change and the future of Cuba. Encuentro is a quarterly journal devoted to a broad discussion of issues in the humanities, the arts, and the social sciences and is distributed widely in Cuba.
