University of South Florida, TampaUSF at Tampa's Institute on Black Life is hosting a conference which treats AfroCuban themes on March 24 and 25th, 1999. Rumor has it that some outstanding AfroCuban scholars will participate: Pablo Rodriguez from the Centro de Antropologia, Havana, and Ricardo Guerra from the Associacion Cultural Yoruba. They may also go to the Miami event, Second CRI Conference on Cuban and Cuban American Studies, CRI Florida International University, Miami, March 18-20, '99, which precedes this one. |
