Elena Garcia is a Cuban dancer and choreographer with a degree in Modern Dance and Cuban Folklore from the National School of Arts of Cuba (ENA). Former member of the Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba, she has dedicated her artistic career to exposing international audiences to Cuban culture.

From Iroko's web page: " Iroko Dance & Performance Center opened its door on February 14, 1998 with the purpose of promoting the expressions of the African Diaspora in the Caribbean. We hold lecture demonstrations and in-studio performances regularly. We also present art exhibitions with Caribbean themes in collaboration with the Experimental Arts Lab.

Iroko Dance & Performance Center is also the home of Iroko Afro-Cuban Dance Theater, a multi-ethnic group devoted to Afro-Cuban music and dance. Since then the group has appeared at many local events and TV programs. Recently the group appeared in the TV series: "Sins of the City" on The USA Network."
