Julito Fantoma is one of the best known bata players
in Matanzas. He started playing at age 12 and has played
for over 50 years. Armado Diaz put aņa in his hands. He
is a master drum maker.
Julito Fantoma offers courses in percussion as well as
in how to deal with the religious aspects of bata
playing, including preparing the food of the orishas.
He plays rythms for all the orishas, including for
Olokun and Babaluaye.
Julito is a master drum maker and offers bata and
other drums for sale.
