The Center for Cuban Studies is a nonprofit educational institution
founded in 1972 "by a group of scholars, writers, artists and other professionals who
hoped to counter the effects of U.S. policy toward Cuba." Located in New York
City, it is the single largest repository of Cuban art, books, music, posters, and other
material in this country, which it offers for sale to both members and non-members.

The Center puts out a newsletter, Cuba Update, invariably full of interesting
