The Násŕkó Family's Kebulu Felix Lenya on Africa - Cuba ties, May 2,

| I write to talk about the founder of the 'Ekpe' secret society,
Nasako, and his influence on the present African descendants in Cuba.
I happen to be a present day Násŕkó family member in Cameroon. We are
working to establish links with members of this family in America and
Cuba. We are organizing the Násŕkó festival every year in Cameroon
with the hope of exposing our culture and practices to our brothers
and sisters on the other side. Before this time there was every strong evidence that Calabar in Nigeria was the origin of the 'Ekpe' secret society. But in 2011, Dr Ivor Miller uncovered more to this when he visited the homeland of the Násŕkó family, called Ekama. He did it again in 2012 and has a lot of videos and pictures to show. Having been to Cuba and to Africa he could clearly see that there is a strong cultural link between these two peoples. He disclosed to us that the divination we do calling the god of Násŕkó is similar with that done in Cuba. I always read through your web site to see recent developments concerning the Abakwa secret society in Cuba. I have never seen or not yet seen where the descendants of the great Nasako are mentioned. We are told they do exist. Our goal is to see this great family re-unite again and we believe through this website we could learn about their history, whereabouts and how best to contact them. Plans are near maturity for the creation of the Násŕkó Foundation and we believe that their participation is very important. The descendants of Násŕkó here in Cameroon still inhabit the ancestral land of their forefathers. The Cubans need their support to move foward. They also need our support to learn more about the traditions and cultures of their fore fathers which is their true identity. We shall like that through your popular website the Násŕkó dynasty could be unveiled. If you could give us information about the Násŕkó family in Cuba and America we shall be grateful. afrodescendientes en Cuba para hablar sobre el fundador
del la sociedad secreta "Ekpe", Násŕkó, y su influencia. Soy un miembro de
la familia Násŕkó en el Camerún. Estamos trabajando para establecer vínculos
con los miembros de esta familia en los Estados Unidos y Cuba. Estamos
organizando el festival Násŕkó cada ańo en Camerún con la esperanza de
dar a conocer nuestra cultura y prácticas a nuestros hermanos y hermanas
en el otro lado. Antes de este momento hubo una fuerte evidencia de que Calabar en Nigeria fue el origen de la sociedad secreta "Ekpe". The World Music Central site reviews the Enyenison Enkama Project. 12/20/2010 Repeating Islands: "The Enyenison Enkama Projekt celebrates the African roots in Cuban music, specifically a style called Abakuá. This new project is a continuation of an earlier project by Cuban rumba group Yoruba Andabo, which released an album titled Enyenison Enkama in 1997. Enyenison Enkama Project is based in New York City, led by the core Cuban musicians Roman Díaz, Pedro Martínez and Angel Guerrero... “Mariba Konkai” means ‘the depths of the sea’. This composition is an homage to Nasako, the diviner.
