Luz Productions

Luz Productions was founded by vocalist Emilio Barreto.  Their title Santisimo features the well known akpwons and drummers, Amelia Pedroso of Havana and Orlando "Puntilla" Rios of Havana and New Jersey. We first heard it in Matanzas, where it is quite popular in Barrio Marina.

Santisimo

The Santissimo CD is a collection of music of Santeria released by Emilio Barreto and the Luz Productions Company.  Mr. Barreto joins master drummer Orlando "Puntilla" Rios and vocalist Amelia Pedroso to pay homage to the African deities of the Yoruba religion. Recently the LUZ PRODUCTIONS CO. has gained much popularity among industry insiders. Just a few months ago Billboard Magazine reported on the company’s success. "Santisimo" has been mentioned in the New York Times, San Francisco Guardian and has received great reviews in Latin Beat, Hispanic Magazine and many other well-known periodicals.
