In Mundemba, we met with Mr. Efamba Z. Nangomoko, a former mayor of this city, who authorized our travel to the Nasako family reunion, and allowed us to stay in his home in the village. EFAMBA is a term from the Ekpe ‘leopard’ society, meaning a place where Ekpe is displayed. In Cuba, the Abakuá house-temples are called Efamba.
