En el polémico artículo se hacen acusaciones directas al movimiento de tener relaciones financieras con ‘Los Mellos', una familia que ejerce el trafico de estupefacientes en la Isla. De igual forma el artículo hace referencia a un informe que confirma la información y a diferentes pruebas que constatan la relación que se afirma: AMEN-SD tiene con el narcotráfico…"

Colombia denies boosting military in disputed Caribbean islands  1/29/2008 Bloomberg: "The response came two days after Ortega said in Venezuela that Colombia was provoking "military tensions" by not allowing Nicaraguan fisherman near the San Andres, Providencia and Santa Catalina islands. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez called on Cuba, Bolivia and Nicaragua on Sunday to form a military alliance to guard against attacks by the US. Nicaragua lost a bid last month to get the Hague-based International Court to hear a challenge to Colombia's ownership of the islands. The court said that that a treaty from 1928 determined the sovereignty of the islands and that it therefore had no legal jurisdiction over the matter."

Natives on San Andrés Demand Greater Autonomy Natives on San Andrés Demand Greater Autonomy  10/1/2007 Washington Diplomat: "That’s not good enough for Dulph Mitchell, secretary-general of the homegrown Archipelago Movement for Ethnic, Native Self-Determination. A retired English teacher, the 74-year-old Mitchell was born and raised on San Andrés. He said the island’s population is more than 100,000, even though the government claims it’s only 57,000. “We have a law which should control the population density and it’s not working because people keep coming in,” he said. “We have people here who are illegal. They need to go. Send them home.” Mitchell added that the Colombian government has suppressed the Baptist Church in favor of Catholics, and that the Uribe administration has done next to nothing to help the islanders preserve their unique cultural heritage. “We have three groups of people here: the raizales, the Arabs and the mainlanders. Each group seems to be looking out for itself,” he argued. “The Arabs have not contributed financially to anything like education or investing in the community…. The mainlander is doing all he can to have a happy time, and the islanders are struggling for survival.”

Of course this is not anything witty, it is just part of the process of ethnocide. Colombians do not think much they, just carry out what they are ordered to do. By the way, at it is commonly sair, one of the employees of said institution owns more land than me and you, although, he came here with one hand ahead and one behind. That is not surprising, they know who pay taxes, who are away for a long time, who cannot pay taxes, summing up who is vulnerable. This cannot surprise us, since to take away, namely, to rob other people’s land has been a very well known custom around here."

El pueblo Raizal sufre un genocidio total orquestado por el Estado y Gobierno Colombiano  10/26/2005 IndyMedia. Colombia: "De todas formas, desde 1822 hasta 1912, los Raizales como pueblo vivieron prácticamente independiente de Colombia. Eran autosuficientes económicamente, desarrollaron sus propias instituciones religiosas, educativas y de administración de justica. Pero en 1912 Bogotá convirtió al Archipiélago en intendencia una política de colonización para poblarlo con "verdaderos colombianos" e impuso cultura, lengua y religión del Estado."

Colombia: "Los raizales del Archipiélago de San Andrés y Providencia han empezado a utilizar su identidad cultural como una estrategia étnica que les ha permitido reivindicar ciertos derechos frente al Estado y frente al resto de habitantes de la isla.
