Regular US mail to Cuba has gotten better, but it still takes 3 to 4 weeks and you cannot send a package without a lot of hassles or the risk of losing the package. order or cashiers check. Food & medicine can be handled in
two ways: First, they have catalogue which they will send to you free of charge and you
can pick out items to send. You can also send your own items, either way the cost is $10
per/lb for medicine anywhere and for non-electronic items (including
clothing) to Havana & $13 per/lb for non-electronic items outside of Havana.
It will take from 1-2 weeks from the time they receive the package. Types
of foods: (non-perishables) grains in plastic, powdered items (milk/formula), canned food
etc... See www.antillas-express.com. Note: Primarily, they speak spanish, but if you ask for an english speaker it's no problem, another plus is that they are open very late. |
